Impressive MLA Mini Pivot-Steer Loaders from Manitiou

Manitou introduced six brand-new, compact articulated loaders, each with an impressive turning circle earlier this year.

The MLA series 2 and 3 machines, which are smaller than their larger relatives, have maximum lifting capacities of 1t and 1.5t, respectively, and are just 1.1m wide.

The MLA series 2 and 3 machines, which are smaller than their larger relatives, have maximum lifting capacities of 1t and 1.5t, respectively, and are just 1.1m wide. Under the panels, the MLA 2 and 3 series packs a three-cylinder Perkins engine with 25hp powering them and a 30 l/min hydraulic gear pump and hydrostatic transmissions.

The series 4 and 5 versions, which are the next step up, use a 48hp Yanmar engine that drives a two-speed hydrostatic transmission and a 57- or 60 l/min hydraulic pump. Manitou has positioned the engines lengthways in the chassis and removed some metal from the hood to keep these vehicles as small and compact as feasible.

The largest MLA 5-50H model sits at just 1.33m wide, 3.79m long and 2.29m high, with a maximum lift capacity of 1.88t.
All new compact MLA models are designed to work with a wide selection of Manitou attachments, including buckets, forks and bale clamps, as well as levellers and augers.
