Essex Illuminated Christmas Charity Tractor Run

Crawfords Essex depot is proud to be once again hosting the Essex Illuminated Christmas Charity Tractor Run, organised by the Lyon family, which will be held on Saturday, 9th December.
Last year was a hugely popular event, and the organisers hope for a fantastic turnout! The event will raise money for Cancer Research and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.

Tractors leaving at 4:00pm from Crawfords at Fox Burrows Lane, Writtle, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 3SS. Get there before 4:00pm to see all the tractors lined up and leave.

Car Parking

All cars are to park in either of the following locations:
Lordship Campus at Writtle University College: Lordship Rd, Writtle, Chelmsford, CM1 3RP
Writtle University College Main Campus: Lordship Rd, Writtle, Chelmsford, CM1 3RR

Please follow parking signage and parking stewards instructions. Please do not obstruct Fox Burrows Lane.

The Route

Tractors will follow a route via the A414 via Stondon Massey and Blackmore and finally pass through Writtle village green at approx. 5:30 pm, returning to the depot for refreshments. 
The organisers’ elves will have collection buckets at the depot, collecting for the charities.

At Crawfords Depot

We’ll have up to 50% off on selected items with childrens toys, tools, clothing and more on offer! Hot food and refreshments will also be available with a viewing area for the tractors.

Prizes to be won!

Tractors and drivers will be judged the Best Decorated Tractor and Best Dressed Driver!
The organisers are also holding a raffle which will be drawn at the end of the Tractor Run. Please see one of the event team in yellow high-vis vests to purchase tickets. There are several great prizes on offer!

    I don’t suppose you guys will be travelling along Melbourne Avenue at all..
    I know there are so many children along there that can’t make it out to Writtle but would love to see this.

  2. Just seen the parade pass the end of our road in writtle. Wonderful. Well done to all concerned. Sadly we didn’t know about in advance but will look out for it next year so we can invite our grandchildren over to enjoy the spectacle. Is it advertised in the Writtle News?
